(Day 1)

。。Zzz。。。

Studio M Hotel Singapore @ Robertson Quay

It turned out to be a nice decision.

The hotel room itself was a duplex design, with a tiny yet cozy upper deck bedroom and very high ceiling.
The room was spacious and with practical design, we did not feel crowded with three of us staying at the same room.

The only drawback probably was the weak water pressure.

The hotel was near Chinatown and Clarke Quay, everyday we walked to either one of the MRT stations.

Well, put it this way, so it meant it was not close to either one of the MRT stations.

First thing after landing at Singapore, was going to Chinatown to exchange money and purchase tickets.

Started raining.

Afterwards, heading to the popular food market.

It was still raining.  We waited and waited inside the food market, getting sleepy…

The rain was heavy, and did not look like would stop soon.  Therefore we decided to go back to the hotel.

As we were tired with the early flight, we simply dined at the Robertson Quay.

Nice walk at the evening.

Oyster Bar & Grill Wharf @ Robertson Quay

Super fresh and sweet oysters!!!

We were stuffed with the chicken rice, yet could not resist to order a second platter the moment we finished the first platter.

The oysters were so nice.

My favorite tonight was the New Zealand Kaipara, one that I was not familiar with, but super tasty with strong oyster flavor.

Enjoyed good white wines and delicious oysters with my dear friends, of course with plenty of laughter.

The highlight was – this restaurant was within 20 steps of walking distance to the hotel.  Great when we were slightly drunk.   :)

I loved this district much.

The hotel was at the Robertson Quay, next to a riverside of restaurants, bars and cafes.  It was not a busy tourist or residential area.  A very comfortable environment; I loved the tranquility yet easy accessibility to nearby MRT stations.

We saw people walking dog and jogging along the riverside, people enjoying dinner and drinks at the eateries, and heard people shouting from bars on watching football games.

A SoHo like area but a decent one with much less traffic.
